Two unrelated bits of babble

I have two things to babble about before I go to sleep.
1) I started rewatching Weiβ Kreuz tonight, and no amount of knowing how horribly cliche and lame it is can reduce my enjoyment of it. Actually, despite the age of the show, the art and the voice performances are actually quite good. Even the background characters, who aren't big names most of the time. If anyone throws me for a loop it's actually Koyasu, because for some reason that's not how Aya sounds in my head.
After all these years, I still love these characters; love the ridiculous predictable plots; love all of it. People can judge me, I really don't care. XD I'm also importing most of the CDs again, to see if I still like the music as much as I remember. I guess we'll see.

2) It's CD Japan sale time again, and even though I have no money I'm poking through things and making a list for things that I like and might want some day.
-New Kusuda Toshiyuki CD
-Meisa's "One More Drama" CD - First Press, with DVD and poster. ^_^
-Nao-kun's Yumekibo Ressha Limited edition still available.
-Amuro Namie Single "Break It/Get Myself Back"
-Crystal Kay's "Journey" - because I need more of her music.
-Nao-KUN'S "Infinity" album - since I recently realized that I really need more of hi
-As a note that I can't be bothered to research at the moment, I should also look into finishing my collection of HaruDaki manga and Drama CDs, since I think they're all completed now. CDs got up to volume 8 and the manga finished at Volume 14. Since the CDs tended to cover a little more than one volume that means the CDs are probably complete as well. And I could really use more MikiShin in my life lately. As well as MoriMori. ^_^

Other ranty things could include ways in which my computer is freaking me out lately, ways in which work is crazy, and ways in which I am not working on packing or cosplay nearly enough right now, but I'm happy in my escapism so I'll let all that be for the moment.

I was soooooooooooooooooo into Weiss Kreuz for years. It was my first fandom. :x I wrote massive amounts of terrible fanfic for it that I try to pretend no longer exist.

I have that Kusuda CD, if you'd like a digital copy to hold you over (provided you don't have that already).

And HaruDaki omg. ;; I'm in HaruDaki limbo somewhere myself. I don't remember where I left off :( It was surpassing Zetsuai as my favorite yaoi manga, last I recall.

Yeeeah... Weiss was probably somewhere around fandom number 3 or 4 for me. But it was a biggie, and probably the first that has actually stuck with me over time. (Aya and Yohji still figure into all of my work passwords as scary as that is.)

Oh um... *_* You don't have to if it's too much trouble... but I'd love to hear it! (Is it good?)

Well, the first show I really got into was Fushigi Yuugi, but I wasn't really into 'fandom' to speak of. I wrote a couple toss-off crappy fics and I was like 16 XD God. Then I moved ton to WK through the FY seiyuu, and Angelique from there and um, it kind of explodered and I got into Tenipuri and the rest is history, I suppose. :x

I was a big Persona-lover when I saw Weiss for the first time, and I just thought it was hilarious that Tatsuya from Persona 2 and Aya from WK are pretty much fucking carbon copies of each other. Except Tatsuya has a sense of humor and sorta has a boyfriend that's a doppleganger of Nagi. And I just went into WTF territory. :D

... I still have some yohji-name passwords on accounts I use everyday, believe it or not. XD

IIRC the CD was good, but I like all his stuff, really. I shared it on the seiyuu comm an age ago, so I should still have it on my mediafire account.

http://www.mediafire.com/?3lb3aj1k1akk6pb This should be it. If it's not, let me know.

Leah, you are so amazing. If anyone ever tries to tell you different, have them call me and I'll set them straight. XD Thank you /so/ much and if I might have anything I can share with you feel free to let me know.

Your anime progression sounds a lot like mine only with Gundam Wing as the starting point instead of FY. Heaven, who would I be without NeoRomance games and my eternal love of Olivie? And... now I really have to pick up P2 for PSP, because Aya with a not!boyfriend and a sense of humor sounds pretty awesome actually. XD

Also, since I have now read your edit: HaruDaki!! One of the drama CDs got on my iPod somehow and I listened through it the other day and I'm in love all over again. I have up through volume 6 or so of the manga and at one point I was totally up to date on the CDs, but it's been /sooo/ long. It is my favorite yaoi franchise of all time because of the combination of great art and story and /amazing/ voice acting. (I am admittedly biased on that fact.) The only story I love more is Sadahiro Mika's 'Mukizu ja Irarenee', but it's only a single volume with no CDs or anything so it's hard to compare it to a massive series like HaruDaki... [/squee]

Heee. :3 I APPROVE OF THE ICON.

Oh my sweet Neoromance. ;o; My babies are Oscar and Victor, but <3 to Olivie and Charlie, too.

Oh, God you definitely need P2 for the PSP. It's the one we never got except a recent fan translation of, and it has the glorious zombie Nazis and resurrected Hitler and canon shounen and shoujo-ai and wonderful fucked upedness. I mean, Eternal Punishment was grand, but there was so little Tatsuya and so much less Eikichi. (Eikichi was whatshisface, that voiced Sengoku, Toriumi Kosuke. *rolls around*) And Tatsuya does monomane. The Drama CD is hysterical.

I love the relationship dynamics in HaruDaki, on top of everything else. It's not a strict YOU'RE THE TOP, YOU'RE THE BOTTOM, ACT LIKE IT thing. I love switchy relationships. And the two of them are so lovable. ;;

Lol, I would absolutely guessed you would be an Oscar and Victor girl. ^_^ I'm most fond of Olivie, Lumiale and Clavis, but Ernst was great fun to date too iirc. (And then Haruka ate my brain and I've been sewing kimono every sense. >.>)

:D You said the words 'zombie Nazis'.. and now I'm sold. This sounds amazing.

And yes. Exactly that. Iwaki and Katou have real personalities and careers and not everything is just soft and fluffy for them all the time. Switchy relationships are the best! (I will not expound at this point about how much I adore Yagyuu and Niou, I think that goes without saying).

I'm a Knight in Shining Armor girl, usually. Even despite myself. ♥

*coughcough* I ONLY like Niou and Yagyuu when they're switchy. |3

Sorry, I fell asleep last night. Hope your intervening day went well!

I agree completely about Yagyuu and Niou.... there's way too much balance and compromise in their friendship for them to be anything else.
